Dhule, March 5 -- A farmer died after being stung by bees in Dhule district of Maharashtra on Wednesday, police said.
Sahebrao Eknath Thakur was attacked by the bees while he was working in the field in Boris village. He fell unconscious after being stung, and later died whilebeing treated at Bhausaheb Hire Hospital.
The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
Family members reported that Thakur had gone to the field to inspect the wheat crop when the bees emerged from a beehive on a neem tree near the field and attacked him.
