Mumbai, Nov. 2 -- Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (Mahagenco) has recorded its highest-ever monthly power generation for five consecutive months from June to October 2026, with overall electricity production touching an all-time high of 5,817 million units in October.
The record generation comes amid low rainfall across Maharashtra and rising temperatures, which have increased electricity demand in the state.
According to the company, thermal power generation stood at 4,850 million units in June, while total generation across its power plants was 5,159 million units. In July, thermal generation was 4,436 million units and overall production stood at 4,858 million units.
