Mumbai, June 13 -- In a major step towards making higher education more inclusive, Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil has directed the formation of a high-level committee to implement a special framework for children of single mothers, including the introduction of a "Single Parent Child" category in college admission forms across the state.
A key component of the proposed framework includes the introduction of a dedicated "Single Parent Child" column in college admission forms across the state to facilitate the accurate identification and registration of these students.
