Mumbai, April 15 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today stated here that the state government is alert regarding the infectious diseases like Japanese encephalitis and has accelerated the vaccination drive to control it with the special emphasis being placed on preventive measures, vaccination and public awareness to effectively control the disease.

Fadnavis said that protecting citizens' health is the government's top priority. Public health systems must work in coordination to effectively control this disease.
