Sangli, July 20 -- With the Krishna river dam area and its catchment area in the state receiving good rainfall, the Maharashtra,State Irrigation Department's Sangli division has requested the neighbouring Karnataka government to strictly implement the decisions of the Inter-State Coordination meeting to effectively deal with the potential flood situation.

In an official press release, Seema Mohite, excutive engineer of the Irrigation department, said "on 20 July 2026 at 8 am, the water level of Hippargi Barrage is 522.60 metres and the inflow is 36,400 cusecs and the outflow is 34,450 cusecs.
