Mumbai, July 1 -- Maharashtra government on Tuesday announced a financial assistance for the devotees (Warkari) if any of them were to lose their lives during Wari.

The state government will provide upto Rs four lakhs to the family as relief of Warkari if they die during the Wari, which is a foot journey to Pandharpur.

The government has said that if any accident occurs during a Wari and the disability exceeds 60 percent, the government will provide assistance of Rs 2.5 lakhs.

If the disability is less than 60 percent, the government will provide assistance of Rs 74 thousand.
