Kolhapur/Ratnagiri, Aug. 3 -- State Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has said that the Maharashtra government will bring a new 'Land Titling' Act (Land Ownership Act) in the December session, to bring transparency in land transactions and for the convenience of the common man.

He said under the new 'Land Titling Act', the land will first be counted, then registered and then modified.

Bawankule, speaking at a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj MaharajSwa Abhiyan Samadhan Camp organized in Ratnagiri, said that in the next two years, a government census of all lands in the state will be conducted.

He said that in addition, the Devasthan Land Inam Act will also be brought soon to establish the rights of clans, occupants and devasthans.
