Nashik, Oct. 29 -- The Maharashtra State Government has released Rs 1 crore 25 lakh of sanctioned funds to establish a Namo Tourism Information and Facilitation Center at Salher Fort in Nashik district, which has been declared a World Heritage Site.

The state government's Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department issued a government order in this regard, granting administrative approval for a total fund of Rs 5 crore for the project.

According to an official press note, Salher Fort's inclusion in the World Heritage Sites list is the backdrop for this decision. The state government has approved the establishment of these centres with modern basic facilities for tourists at 75 tourist places across the state under the Regional Tourism Scheme....
