Mumbai, July 28 -- Maharashtra Cyber has identified 429 social media posts and handles allegedly used to circulate objectionable content generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deepfake technology during a special four-day monitoring drive, officials said today.
The cyber cell said more than 500 suspicious and provocative posts circulating across various social media platforms were flagged during the operation. Following detailed scrutiny, 429 posts and handles were found to contain sensational, inflammatory and defamatory content.
Officials said the content was found to be baseless but had the potential to create communal disharmony, incite violence and adversely impact national security.
