Mumbai, Aug. 3 -- In a blistering political onslaught, Maharashtra Congress President Harshwardhan Sapkal has launched a fierce attack on the BJP-led central and state governments, branding the rollout of E-20 fuel a massive "scam" that is fleecing vehicle owners.
Sapkal accused the administration of mixing water into petrol and diesel under the guise of ethanol blending, resulting in widespread damage to public vehicles.
Sapkal alleged that the rushed implementation of the E-20 fuel policy-originally slated for 2030-was executed prematurely solely to line the pockets of select vested interests, leaving ordinary motorists stranded with damaged vehicle engines.
