Mumbai , July 17 -- Yuriy R. Fedkiw has assumed charge as the new U.S. Consul General (CG) in Mumbai, the financial capital of India, earlier this month.
He assumed office on July 7.
Before coming to Mumbai, CG Fedkiw served in Bern, Switzerland, as the Counsellor for Political-Economic Affairs and long-term Acting Deputy Chief of Mission, covering relations with the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
CG Fedkiw's previous diplomatic assignments include the U.S. embassies in Ukraine, Poland, Iraq, Slovenia and Japan, where he worked on political, economic, commercial, political-military, assistance, law enforcement, non-proliferation and science and technology issues.
