Mumbai, March 22 -- A young man suffered severe burn injuries after coming into contact with a live railway overhead electric (OHE) line at Kalyan railway station in Maharashtra today, triggering panic among passengers present at the busy station.
The incident occurred today afternoon, creating a tense atmosphere across multiple platforms.
According to available information, the youth climbed onto a pole supplying electricity to platforms 1, 1A and 2, leading to chaos and fear among commuters. As soon as the situation was reported, teams from the Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and fire brigade rushed to the spot and initiated efforts to control the situation.
