Nagpur, March 11 -- A 29-year-old woman was killed and a teenage girl sustained serious injuries after they were attacked by a gaur (Indian bison) in Pendhari village of Maharashtra's Nagpur district on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place around 1.30 pm when Reshma Vikesh Dhurve and 16-year-old Nisha Keshav Ivanati were working in a farm in the village.
According to police, Dhurve suffered critical injuries in the attack and died on the spot. Ivanati was seriously injured while attempting to rescue her.
