Buldhana, Aug. 9 -- : Two cousin brothers drowned after accidentally falling into a water-filled pit near the Koradi Dam project in Mehkar tehsil of Maharashtra's Buldhana district, police said on Sunday.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday at around 5 pm near Koradi project site when the two children went there and entered the pit to wash their feet. They reportedly slipped and fell into the deep water and drowned.
The deceased have been identified as Ayaan Raju Sheikh (10), a resident of Deulgaon Mali and his maternal cousin, Aved Ibrahim Sheikh (11), a resident of Lonar. They had reportedly come to the Koradi Dam along with Sheikh Asif Sheikh Hussain.
