Mumbai, May 9 -- NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) Working President and MP Supriya Sule strongly condemned the attack on party spokesperson Vikas Lawande in the Alandi area near Pune and termed the incident "extremely serious".
In a post on social media platform X, Ms Sule stated that Lawande had been attacked while travelling between Mhatobachi Alandi and Pune. It was further alleged that the attackers were carrying weapons and that an "attempt to kill" had been made on a public road.
According to Ms Sule, Lawande fortunately escaped without injuries. It was also stated that a formal complaint regarding the incident was being registered at the Loni Kalbhor police station.
