Mumbai, July 5 -- At least six persons were killed and one sustained injuries after portions of a ground-plus-three tenement collapsed at Chawl No. 05, Janta Nagar, behind Hanuman Mandir in the Mankhurd area of eastern Mumbai today evening, officials said.
Several persons are feared trapped beneath the rubble, they informed.
Personnel from the BMC's Mumbai Fire Brigade, police, ward staff and 108 ambulances were rushed to the site and rescue operations are underway, officials said.
