Kolhapur, April 27 -- District and sessions court in Sindhudurg, judge V S Deshmukh, today awarded a month's imprisonment and fined Rs one lakh to Maharashtra and Sindhudurg district guardian minister Nitesh Rane in a case of throwing mud on engineer Prakash Shedekar on 4 April, 2019, in Kankavali.

While, the cout acquitted 29 other suspects.

Advocate Sangram Desai said the sentence has been stayed till an appeal against it is heard by the Bombay High Court.
