Nashiki, May 4 -- A four-member team of the Shirdi Police Station, led by PSI Nivanta Jadhav, has left for Nashik to obtain custody of self-proclaimed godman and astrologer Ashok Kharat in connection of two cases registered against him.
Ashok Kharat-who is currently in the custody of the Nashik SIT in connection with a rape case-is scheduled to be produced before the Nashik court today. One of the two cases is regarding an alleged land grab and another of creating bogus bank accounts at a credit society.
The Shirdi Police will initiate the necessary legal formalities at the Nashik Court to obtain custody of Ashok Kharat.
