Jalgaon, Aug. 30 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) founder Sharad Pawar received a warm welcome from workers of both NCP factions on his arrival at Jalgaon airport today, fuelling speculation about a possible reunion of the two groups in the future.
Pawar is on a visit to Jalgaon district to attend an event marking the 75th birth anniversary of senior leader Eknath Khadse. Interestingly, along with workers from the Sharad Pawar-led faction, a large number of supporters of the rival Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led faction were also present at the airport to welcome him.
The district presidents of both factions greeted Sharad Pawar and expressed positive sentiments about the possibility of greater unity in the future.
