Mumbai, June 27 -- The appointment of senior IPS officer Vishwas Nangre Patil as the new Nagpur Police Commissioner has sparked a political controversy in Maharashtra after an undated video of him praising the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at a public event resurfaced on social media.
The controversy erupted after a 45-second video clip showed Nangre Patil addressing a 'Hindu Sammelan' organised by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, during which he praised the RSS and its founder, Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
