Mumbai, March 25 -- NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar has raised strong objections over the slow progress of the investigation into the accidental mishap involving late Deputy Chief Minister and his uncle Ajit Pawar, questioning the absence of a First Information Report despite considerable time having passed.
He stated that registering an FIR is mandatory for initiating a criminal investigation under provisions of BNS 173 and 74, yet the police refused to file one despite attempts made both in Mumbai and Baramati, he alleged.
He expressed serious concerns regarding the functioning of VSR, the company that owned the aircraft involved in the incident.
