Pune, July 31 -- NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Rohit Pawar has launched a fresh verbal attack on the BJP, alleging that the ruling party is using certain police officers for political purposes.
In a post on microblogging site X, he referred to a purported audio clip involving a BJP office-bearer and demanded a forensic examination to verify its authenticity.
MLA Pawar alleged that if the audio clip is found to be genuine, a thorough investigation should determine whether the "Madam" mentioned in the conversation is former Maharashtra Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla. He further claimed that the individual was involved in the alleged phone tapping of opposition leaders, including Sanjay Raut, Nana Patole and Eknath Khadse.
