Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sanjay Raut today alleged that the plot of land allotted for the Bharatiya Janata Party's new office at Marine Lines in South Mumbai was taken over "forcibly and in haste", and urged union Home Minister Amit Shah to order a probe.

The BJP, however, described the accusations as "false" and claimed the land purchase process was "transparent".

Talking to reporters, Raut claimed that several development proposals are pending in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) because it is under the control of BJP-friendly officials, yet the land transfer for the BJP office was processed immediately.
