Shahjahanpur, April 30 -- A tragic series of road accidents in Shahjahanpur has left multiple families devastated, turning moments of joy into grief.
In the first incident, a newlywed bride, 22-year-old Kalpana, lost her life just days after her wedding. Kalpana had married Anil, a resident of the Puwayan area, on April 25.
Following a customary post-wedding visit to her parental home in the Khutar region, she was being brought back to her in-laws' house on Thursday afternoon.
The car, driven by a relative, was carrying Kalpana, her husband Anil, and three other family members. While traveling along the Shahjahanpur-Palia Highway near Rautapur Kalan turning, their vehicle collided head-on with a diesel tanker.
