Kolhapur, March 14 -- Maharashtra Nationalist Congress Party (AP) president Sunil Tatkare has filed a defamation suit of Rs 65 crore in Mangaon Sessions Court against Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Mahendra Thorve in connection of Mangesh Kalokhe murder case.
MLA Thorve had made serious allegations against Tatkare in the case of the murder of Mangesh Kalokhe, husband of Shiv Sena corporatorMansi Kalokhe. He had also criticized Tatkare for encouraging crime and creating a bloody atmosphere in Raigad district.
He had also accused Tatkare of ruling in an authoritarian manner and of killing activists in broad daylight.
Tatkare had also warned Thorve not to level false allegations but he continued.
