Kolhapur, March 4 -- The inaugural Mumbai-Vijaydurg Ro-Pax water transport service today received a spontaneous response for the first round, saving time and cost for passengers travelling with family or for business purposes.
The Ro-Pax service is considered one of the ambitious projects of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to promote infrastructure and maritime development. This is an important step in making maritime transport in the state more efficient and dynamic. Water transport is the best option to connect the Konkan and Mumbai more effectively.
