Mumbai, June 7 -- Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde today inaugurated the long-awaited 750-metre extension of the Mrinal Tai Gore Flyover in Goregaon, completing a key east-west link that officials say will cut peak-hour travel time to about 15 minutes.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's new four-lane stretch connects the Western Express Highway in Goregaon East directly to the Ram Mandir junction in Goregaon West. It allows motorists from Borivali, Versova and the Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road to bypass three traffic signals on SV Road.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mayor Tawde highlighted that the project was the result of collective efforts towards the development of Mumbai's infrastructure and reflected the city's rapid progress.
