Mumbai, Aug. 7 -- Amid simmering political tensions triggered by allegations of a systematic rollback of Kunbi records, Maharashtra Industries Minister Uday Samant today fiercely defended the Mahayuti government, declaring that all existing decisions concerning Maratha reservations remain completely absolute and unalterable.

Samant moved swiftly to extinguish rising anxieties sparked by activist Manoj Jarange-Patil's recent claims that official directives were deliberately undermining Maratha documentation. Flanked by senior alliance discussions-including talks with BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule-Samant asserted that the entire controversy is rooted in avoidable misunderstandings.
