Pune, June 7 -- Maharashtra Rural Development Minister Jayakumar Gore on Saturday inspected preparations for the 'dindis' (palanquins) of Sant Dnyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram and their resting places on Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg in Purandar area of city.
He inspected the resting places of palanquins at Neera Visava, Walhe, Jejuri, Saswad and Pimpri Khurd.
The minister gave instruction that all facilities like water, toilets, medical facilities should be provided to the 'Warkaris' (followers) who carry the 'dindis' at their resting places.
He said that instead of repairing the same facilities every year, build permanent facilities at the resting places and promised to give Rs 50 lakh for carrying out the work at Neera Visawa Sthal...
