Gadchiroli, Sept. 3 -- : Mild earthquake tremors were felt in parts of Gadchiroli district, including Aheri and Sironcha tehsils, in the early hours of Thursday, officials said.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred at 4:36 am.
The epicentre was located at a depth of 10 km, about 112 km northeast of Karimnagar in neighbouring Telangana.
Residents in several villages of Aheri and Sironcha reported feeling the tremors, causing brief panic.
However, no casualties or damage to property were reported.
