Nagpur, June 5 -- The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has reclaimed nearly 40 acres of industrial land from 30 industrialists in the Nagpur division after industries failed to commence operations on the allotted plots, officials said today.
The action was taken against plot holders who had acquired land for industrial purposes but allegedly did not establish units or begin production despite the passage of several years.
Officials said MIDC initiated the process after issuing notices to the concerned allottees for non-utilisation of land and alleged violation of allotment conditions.
