Amravati, April 5 -- In an inspiring development from Maharashtra's Melghat region, a youth from a tribal background who until recently herded goats has secured a scholarship worth Rs 55 lakh and is set to pursue higher education in Britain, reliable sources said.
According to sources, Kishor Lakhaji Bethekar, an Adivasi youth, has overcome his poverty and adverse circumstances to secure a foreign education scholarship worth Rs 55 lakh.
Bethekar hails from a remote village in Melghat, where access to basic amenities and educational resources remains limited.
Despite financial hardships, he continued his education while supporting his family through daily labour, including grazing goats and working in fields.
