Mumbai, April 18 -- Angered by what they call inadequate financial assistance from the BJP-led Maharashtra government, mango and cashew growers from the coastal Konkan region today announced that they will take out a protest march to the Chief Minister's official residence, 'Varsha', in south Mumhai at the end of this month.
Farmers leader Raju Shetti met key political figures in Mumbai-including MNS president Raj Thackeray, state Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal and NCP (SP) state chief Shashikant Shinde-to seek their support and participation in the protest.
