Kolhapur, Sept. 29 -- The District and Sessions Court here today sentenced a man to imprisonment unto death along with a fine of Rs 1,000for sexually assaulting and impregnting his close relative's minor daughter for two consecutive years from the calendar year 2020 in Karveer tehsil of the district.
According to public prosecutor Ms Amita Kulkarni, accused Sagar Dinkar Sasane, resident of Gad-Mudshingi village in Karveer tehsil of the district, sexually assaulted a 12 year-old girl, who was also his close relative, for two years in a row from 2020. Consequently, the girl became pregnant.This was disclosed in a survey of a Child Care Centre's team, which later informed police, who arrested accused after investigation.
