Kolhapur, June 29 -- Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested a deputy superintendent at Land Record office in Shirol of the district, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000 from a complainant for registering his name as the heir on ancestral property documents.
Arrested accused, identified as Sanjay Teli (52), who was working as deputy superintendent at Shirol Land Record office in the district, haddemanded Rs 2,000 to act on application of complainant to register his name as heir to the land and residence following the death of his parents.
However, complainant informed about this to ACB office, whose team laid a trap at Land Record office and caught Teli red-handed while accepting the bribe money from the complainant.
