Kolhapur, May 24 -- On the direction of the district court, the city police are likely to issue a notice to Shiv Sena (Shinde) MLA Sanjay Gaikwad asking himto appear before them in connection of investigation related to allegations that he used abusive language and issued threats to Prashant Ambi, the publisher of the book on Maratha warrior king Shivaji.
The court granted permission yesterday to the police to conduct an inquiry against Gaikwad.
Ambi filed a complaint at the Rajarampuri Police Station in Kolhapur, alleging that MLA Gaikwad had called him last month, abused him and threatened him (mentioning the tragic fate of CPI leader Govind Pansare) over the book's content.
