Amravati, Aug. 24 -- : Maharashtra Public Health Minister Prakash Abitkar on Monday visited the hospital following the tragic death of three newborn babies in a fire at the District Women's Hospital in Amravati.
A seven-member committee has been constituted to conduct a detailed inquiry into the incident and has been directed to submit its report within eight days.
Abitkar described the death of three newborn babies in a fire at the District Women's Hospital in Amravati as an extremely tragic incident and assured strict action against those found responsible.
He said a seven-member committee headed by the Health Department Commissioner has been constituted to investigate the entire incident.
