Jalna, May 31 -- Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange-Patil called off his hunger strike early today after the Maharashtra government accepted all his demands related to Maratha reservation and assured their implementation at the earliest.
Jarange had begun the hunger strike on Saturday at Antarwali Sarati village in Jalna district in support of the Maratha community's demands. The protest entered its second day before a government delegation reached the site late at night and held extensive discussions with him.
At around 1 a.m. on Sunday, a delegation led by Maharashtra Revenue Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil met Jarange and discussed the pending demands in detail. The delegation also included MLA Prasad Lad and Jalna city BJP p...
