Nashik, Aug. 31 -- The Nashik Rural Police have busted a gang allegedly involved in robbing motorists on the Samruddhi Expressway and arrested seven suspects, including the alleged mastermind, within 48 hours of a robbery near Sinnar, in which a family was looted of around Rs 18 lakh.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Kiran Gaikwad, Arjun Pawar, Ashok Shinde, Lakhan Kale, Dhanaji Pawar, Nitin Shinde and Govind Pawar.
The incident occurred on August 27 near Sinnar, where the accused allegedly punctured the tyres of vehicles and stopped the occupants on the pretext of offering help before robbing them of cash and valuables worth around Rs 18 lakh.
