Mumbai, June 5 -- As part of the 'Green Maharashtra - 300 Crore Tree Plantation' campaign being implemented across the state under the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, an ambitious afforestation initiative has been resolved for the Mumbai Suburban District.
Under this initiative, a total of 5 lakh trees will be planted across 80 acres of vacant land in Aarey, announced Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar today.
Marking World Environment Day, a tree plantation drive was organized at Aarey Camp area.
