Chandrapur, June 9 -- In a tragic incident, five boys reportedly drowned in the Wardha River in Maharashtra's Chandrapur district, police officials said on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident came to light in the Ghuggus area after the boys, all residents of Indira Nagar locality, failed to return home after going to the Wardha River ghat on Monday afternoon.
The missing boys were identified as Tanmay Navnath Pathade (18), Rohit Babarav Bobde, Sunny Ashok Arpelli, Nakul Bhaskar Kelzarkar and Samyak Deorao Bobde.
When the boys did not return till late evening, concerned family members launched a search and informed the Ghuggus police.
