Mumbai, June 2 -- The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a strong warning to celebrities and brand ambassadors involved in promoting misleading advertisements that deceive consumers.
The crackdown will begin with manufacturers of such products, but responsibility will also extend to advertisers, marketers, and celebrity endorsers who help promote these products to the public.
FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe stated that strict action will be taken against all parties involved in spreading deceptive claims, particularly those that may affect public health. He emphasized that no individual or organization found endangering consumers through false advertising or illegal products will receive any leniency from the administration.
