Parbhani, Aug. 30 -- A farmers' meet organised by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Jadhav here today witnessed tension after a group of Maratha activists raised slogans in support of their demand for reservation while he was addressing the gathering.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present at the event.
The sloganeering led to a commotion at the venue, prompting police to intervene before the situation could escalate. The protesters were removed from the gathering, following which the situation was brought under control. Police officials said the situation at the venue was normal thereafter.
