Bhandara, June 30 -- : A farmer in Maharashtra's Bhandara district was left bewildered after receiving a mobile message indicating that only one paisa had been credited to her account under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme instead of the expected Rs 2,000 instalment.
The Agriculture Department on Tuesday attributed the incident to a technical glitch, stating that the beneficiary had in fact received the full Rs 2,000 payment.
According to family members, 65-year-old beneficiary Lakshmibai Girepunje, a resident of Jevanala village, received an SMS showing a credit of Rs 0.01 under the PM-Kisan scheme, triggering confusion.
