Mumbai, Oct. 17 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was conferred with an honorary D Litt degree today at the 17th convocation of the Adani Institute of Higher Education & Research (Deemed University) in Sawangi, Wardha district, presided over by its Chancellor Dr Priti Gautam Adani, the wife of noted industrialist Gautam Adani.
Fadnavis was invited as the chief guest at the convocation ceremony, which was held at the Datta Meghe Auditorium, according to official sources.
The Adani Institute of Higher Education & Research (Deemed University) is run by the Adani Foundation set up by the Adani Group.
The Adani Foundation is headed by Dr Priti Adani, who is a dentist by training.
