Mumbai, Nov. 5 -- Congress MLC Satej 'Bunty' Patil today accused the Fadnavis government of plotting to sell off the Kolhapur-based Gokul Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation, which is officially known as the Kolhapur Zilla Sahakari Dudh Utpadak Sangh Ltd, to the Gujarat-based Amul.
Speaking to media persons here, he said, "I planned to bring Gokul's gulab jamuns and shrikhand with me today, but forgot them in the rush to reach Mumbai. Better enjoy these Gokul products while you still can, because tomorrow they may no longer be available under the Gokul name. There are attempts being made to take over Gokul and stick an Amul label on its products".
