Amravati, July 27 -- : Police have registered a case against six persons in connection with the suspected food poisoning incident at the Government Tribal Ashram School in Titamba village of Dharni tehsil in Maharashtra's Amravati district, where around 70 students fell ill after consuming dinner served at the residential school, officials said on Monday.

The Ashram School superintendent has been suspended, while a show-cause notice has been issued to the headmaster, the officials added.

Based on a complaint lodged by the headmaster, police have booked six persons, including Central Kitchen owner Vijay Bothare, its representative Sachin Satpute, the cook and two other staff members, under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita...
