Mumbai, July 21 -- Around 40 passengers had a narrow escape after a Shivshahi bus overturned near Pezari-Vadkhal on the Alibag-Panvel road in Maharashtra's Raigad district on Tuesday morning, police said.
According to preliminary information, the bus, which was on its way from Alibag to Panvel, reportedly went out of the driver's control, skidded off the road and overturned.
Police said the passengers broke the window panes of the bus to come out of the vehicle. Local residents, along with police personnel and rescue teams, rushed to the spot and safely evacuated all the passengers.
A few passengers sustained minor injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for primary treatment. However, no loss of life was reported, police added.
