Chennai, May 12 -- On the eve of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and TVK Founder C Joseph Vijay all set to seek a no trust vote in the Assembly to prove his majority, a vacation Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday restrained his party Tirupattur MLA Seenivasa Sethupathy from taking part in it on a petition filed by former DMK Minister K R Periyakaruppan, who had lost the April 23 elections to him by one vote.

On a writ plea filed by the former Minister challenging the election of Seenivasa Sethupathy contending that the postal ballots polled in Tirupattur constituency in Sivaganga district was inadvrtently sent to Tirupattur constituency in Tirupattur district and that those votes were rejected by the concerned Returning Officer.
