Chennai, July 28 -- The Madras High Court on Tuesday cancelled the Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against senior DMK leader and former Minister EV Velu and directed him to inform the court while travelling abroad, while allowing the Directorate of Vigilance and Corruption (DVAC) to continue with the probe in the case relating to alleged corruption in highway contract and road infrastructure works during the previous DMK regime.
During the last hearing on July 9, Counsel for Velu told the court that he did not appear before the DVAC officials for inquiry in the wake of the recent raids as he was under treatment at a hospital in Singapore and that he would be returning after treatment in about 10 days after which he would cooperate with the ...
